A-Team Basketball, founded by Mark Starks in November 2015, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to developing rising athletes into their best A-versions. Rooted in Starks’ hometown of South Los Angeles, the club offers financial assistance to those in need and emphasizes the enhancement of both athletic and academic abilities (players must maintain a 3.0 GPA to play). A-Team also fosters essential life skills that include self-discipline, positive relationships, sportsmanship, and empathy.

 

  The club rapidly expanded and currently has more than 50 players aged 8-18 and competes in 20+ regional and national AAU ranking tournaments each season where it has clinched more than 125 championships.
